Two weeks ago, I wrote about how Barack Obama and John Edwards had fallen farther behind and would amp up the negative attacks on Hillary Clinton, mainly because neither candidate is a viable choice for running mate. For them it's either win or go home and the stay at home is probably going to be longer for Edwards than Obama.
What wasn't as clear at the time was the fear of Hillary that had also consumed the Republicans. At first the GOP had tried to be coy and had falsely portrayed that they wanted Hillary as the Democratic nominee. Psych! Hillary is their worst nightmare. So what did the Republicans do? After the latest debate, they enlisted George H.W. Bush and Newt Gingrich to sow seeds of doubt about her ability to sustain her enormous lead. They also used minions to attack the sincerity of her YouTude posts and instructed the ever-perched GOP Spin Doctors on Fox News to say to us, don't believe your lying ears and eyes.
Well the strategies are certainly getting more interesting by the day. However to her credit and as feared, Hillary is proving to be no pushover. She is gut punching her opponents. The lady does have a law degree from the Yale Law School and she is a handful. So it's not going to be easy fellows. Hillary is not going quietly to the kitchen, or allowing herself to be relegated to watching the kids, cleaning the house or performing some other stereotypical task that some men and women in this country reserve for women. Hillary is kicking butt and is headed straight for the residence on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Sidebar: The game is under 2 minutes. The opposition is showing its desperation by blitzing on every down. Can Hillary escape the blitz? She is going long, running the deep post pattern like Randy Moss! The Cover 2 defense won't get there in time! She's in the weak spot...at the goal line! It's too late! She's in! Touchdown!

You're dead on describing Bush 41 and Gingrich's comments as sowing the seeds of doubt in the Democratic electorate. And she certainly is a tough cookie.
It seems like her self control on the campaign trail is a good indicator of how she would run the government. Perhaps, perhaps not.
She certainly handles her endeavors better than Mitt Romney does. Check it:
